Hello!I go by Kinou and I'm a graduate from George Mason University with a BFA in Computer Game Design.
I am a game artist specializing in 2D and 3D art, with a focus on character design and animation.
I am also experienced with creating assets for UI, VFX, and Commercial Prints.
For Illustrations and 2D animations I use Aseprite, Clip Studio Paint, and the Adobe Creative Suite. As for 3D Modeling and Animations I use Autodesk Maya, Autodesk 3DS MAX, and Blender. For 3D Textures I am proficient with Substance Painter, Photoshop, or Clip Studio Paint. For Video Editing I use Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Blender. My passion lies in crafting visually engaging characters and animations that bring games to life.
I have a fondness for retro game aesthetics such as pixel graphics and low poly models and textures and love to work on projects with that art direction.

Character Designs

Character Design for Minokawa, I character I made for use in my 2D animation projects.

Jules' Character Design was based off an old sprite I made inspired by Air Gear. I used this for my 3D animation projects.

Pixel Graphic Animations

I consider Twilight Over Thanalan my best work. This was a personal project I used to explore creating animated scenes using my FFXIV character.
The images show the different stages of progression the piece went through. Illustrations made with Clip Studio Paint and Animation in Graphics Gale.

A tribute to Hayao Miyazaki, this piece depicts a scene from the Ghibli Movie Princess Mononoke. Made with Aseprite.

Game Pixel Graphics

The following animations are from my internship with Three Beat Games and their Indie game Synthetria where I worked as a 2D Pixel Artist and Animator.

Personal Art Projects and Commissions

This series of portraits and illustrations were made for various Tabletop RPGs.
The last two were drawn as parodies in the style of Tite Kubo, the creator of Bleach, and Hirohiko Araki, the creator of JoJo's Bizzare Adventure.

These two illustrations were made for my own personal use on social media,
with the first image being a self portrait, and the second image being of the Pokémon Vaporeon.
The goal and feature of the Vaporeon image was for it to fit neatly within sites that had circular profile pictures, such as Discord and Twitter.
